Olla y Mas

from $18.00

Immune & Circulatory Support

Notes of mulling spice, blackberry, and baking chocolate

~

Made with organic, shade-grown, single-origin Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica)+ organic damiana (Turnera diffusa) + organic Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) and organic cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum). Ground.

~

Building on the quintessential Cafe de Olla - which combines coffee, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a pot on breakfast tables across Mexico - Olla y Mas nods to the coffee and cinnamon, and in place of the sugar, weaves in cardamom and the adaptogen damiana.

Native to Mexico and Texas, damiana is a shrub type plant with a bright yellow flower. Its leaves are used for soothing aches and stress, regulating reproductive hormones, boosting blood flow and libido, and opening the heart center.

Ceylon cinnamon - native to Sri Lanka - shares many adaptogenic properties (anti-oxidant/inflammatory/microbial) and also is anti-diabetic, lowering blood sugar, as well as supports liver function.

Cardamom - native to Southern India, Burma/Myanmar, and Sri Lanka, and also grown in Guatemala - not only enhances the strengths and flavors of both, but also brings digestive support, improves oral health, strengthens hair follicles and shine, and neutralizes caffeine stimulation.

This one is good in a traditional clay pot, but also in your favorite mug, with a concha on the side. Milk and piloncillo or brown sugar optional.
